Dave Roberts

In 1970, Dave Roberts finished a supposedly good education and went to count bricks in a quantity surveying office. Within a year, he found an art college to drop out of, after which he wandered the earth seeking enlightenment, getting as far as San Francisco, Mexico City and Hull.

He earned money driving vans, taxis and trucks, and patching up dilapidated vehicles, finding time to get a psychology degree and an M.Sc. in information technology, after which he became a driving instructor.  In 2002 he built a car in which to go motor racing.

Slowing down upon retirement, he remembered to write two books.

He lives in East Yorkshire, in a happy marriage featuring banter, and enjoys being set upon by rumbustious grandchildren.
